Bison Pump Deep Well Pump Systems require a special tool to use during the pump system installation to pull up the sucker rod to a level that you can lock it into place with a vice-grip tool. Bison Pumps provides a Rod Retrieval Tool for this purpose. This tool has a female thread on one end to use to thread onto the last section of rod in the PVC pipe. After threading the tool onto the rod use the T-handle to pull the rod up and out of the PVC drop pipe about 6” and lock it in place with a vice-grip tool. Now you are ready for the next piece of Drop Pipe and Rod to be installed!
