To help identify the appropriate maintenance kit, review the pump head area around where the Lift Rod enters/exits the body (Top Hex Plate Gland Nut Cavity).
The pump heads manufactured during this period have the following characteristics:
- Black Delrin Packing Gland Nut
- Packing Gland Cup Seal
- Black Delrin Bottom Bushing Long (guides the Lift Rod). The hex top plate started being machined in one piece which allowed for a longer lift rod guide. This is the primary change from the previous version.
The handle / lift rod area manufactured during this period will have the following characteristics:
- The Lift Rod is NOT threaded into the Rod Connector
- The Lift Rod slides into the Rod Connector and is held in place with a Shouldered Set Screw. This is the same as is in the prior version of the pump head.
With this kit you will be able to replace most wear items to keep your Bison Pump running strong!
