Bison Pumps Lifetime Warranty
Bison Pumps offers a Lifetime Warranty against defective materials and workmanship on non-wearable manufactured components. The Lifetime Warranty is contingent upon proper installation, use and maintenance of the Bison Pump.
Bison Pumps, LLC warrants pumps to be free from manufacturer’s defects in material or workmanship under normal use and service for a lifetime from the date of original purchase. There are no warranties that extend beyond the description warranted here. If warranty applies, Bison Pumps shall either repair the product or component or provide you with a replacement product or component if it proves defective under the terms of this warranty within the lifetime of the original purchaser. The warranty is not transferable. Owner must present Bison Pump serial number to obtain warranty service. Dealers, service centers or retail stores do not have the right to change the terms and conditions of the warranty. This warranty is not valid if the product or components have been: (1) damaged through abuse, misuse, or neglect, (2) damaged in an accident, (3) unreasonably used or used for any purpose for which it was not intended, (4) repaired or altered in any way from its original configuration, (5) damaged due to any act of nature. Normal wear and tear of wearable parts like bushings, seals, washers and O-rings is NOT covered under this warranty. Loss of parts or components removed from the product is not covered under the terms of this warranty. Bison Pumps is not responsible for incidental or consequential damage resulting from any malfunction. Bison Pumps reserves the right to change products and designs without incurring any obligations to incorporate such changes into already completed products, or those in the possession of dealers or consumers. Pumps repaired or replaced under this warranty may or may not incorporate these changes. Please carefully review the Owner’s Manual included in the pump packaging.
Damaged products must be returned directly to Bison Pumps in the original box or adequate packaging – freight prepaid at customer’s expense. Please include a copy of the Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) form with the product.
If you suspect a defect in your Bison Hand Pump, please contact us at (800) 339-2601. We will need as much information as possible in order to determine the cause of the problem. Please be ready to provide photos or any other information that will be useful in determining whether the pump has a defective part.
If the problem is determined to be due to a defective part, Bison Pumps will issue an RGA (Returned Goods Authorization) Form which must be included in the packaging when returning the defective part. Bison Pumps will provide a shipping label and will determine the mode and type of shipment.* Once the returned materials have been received and the part is confirmed defective (and not abused), Bison Pumps will issue a credit or replacement. Often we can make the proper determination over the telephone and with emails and photographs. In these cases, we may send out the replacement component first, and invoice the customer for the cost of the item. When the defective item is returned and inspected for verification, a credit is issued resulting in no cost to the customer.
*Customers outside the US will be responsible for shipping costs when returning a product.
Not Covered By Warranty
Regular wearable parts are not included in the Bison Pumps Lifetime Warranty. Bison defines these wearable parts as ones whose expected lifetime varies depending upon the amount of use. Examples include bushings, seals, washers and O-rings.
Pump parts and components that are damaged due to reasons other than a manufacturer’s defect are not covered by the warranty.
If an entire Bison Pump Deep Well Pump System was not purchased from Bison Pumps, we cannot warranty the operation of the system. We do warranty the individual components in those situations but cannot warranty the operational integrity of the pump system since a portion of it was not provided by Bison Pumps. An example would be not purchasing either the Bison Cylinder or Pipe/Rod from Bison Pumps.
