Bison Pumps Deep Well systems require a screen at the water intake to prevent large debris from entering the cylinder and causing damage. Bison Pumps includes a plastic screen with 100 mesh that threads into the bottom of the cylinder at the foot valve location. This prevents large gravel, etc. from entering the cylinder.
